Component readiness comes from each component's own Componentry Ready Data; BOM structure comes from the BOMs table, scoped to our default supplier (Supplier_ID = 0) only. Search covers LIVE, Discontinued, AND Archived finished goods/displays — useful for checking what a retired product used to be built from. A red "archived-component mismatch" flags a Live item whose BOM includes an Archived component (critical); an amber "discontinued component" note flags a Live item with a Discontinued component (usually fine, but called out).
Search for any item above to see everywhere it's used — direct parents, and any further assemblies or finished products those roll up into.
Search scope = LIVE items; BOM relationships are scoped to our default supplier (Supplier_ID = 0) only. Archived parents are excluded from these results entirely (a retired product is treated as a dead end) — see the Lifecycle Issues tab for a dedicated report on archived-related items instead. A usage chain can still pass through a Discontinued link on its way up — those are labeled "not LIVE" so it stays clear which is which. Each node also flags a Live/Archived (critical) or Live/Discontinued (note) lifecycle mismatch with the item just below it, and a callout appears if an item's only (non-Archived) user on file is Discontinued — a candidate to retire alongside it. "Overall impact" counts the distinct top-level products the searched item ultimately ends up in.

Both reports scan the same BOM relationships used by BOM Lookup and Where Used, scoped to our default supplier (Supplier_ID = 0) only, across ALL statuses (LIVE/Discontinued/Archived). Excluded SKUs (tblExclusions) are left out of "Problematic Displays" the same as everywhere else. A component already Archived itself is left out of "Suggested Disco/Archive" — nothing to suggest, it's already there.
